I am happy to introduce you to a company I found just a few weeks ago. Bungalow started with the idea of a colorful, durable bag, full of style but not too expensive. There was room in the market for something new. So in 2004, Bungalow did their first show in Atlanta, GA with four tote bag styles in four patterns. Today, the line has grown to over four hundred items encompassing, totes, storage containers, insulated items, travel, and flooring.

You all know how much I love my bags…..It does not matter what kind of bag, I love all kinds of designs and sizes and I am always up to trying new brands and designs and share them with my E-friends.

With a complete line of bags in the Scout collection, Bungalow offers a really nice and wide variety of different styles and designs. I was given the chance to try two of the products offered in their website.

The Cool Clutch. Is a colorful stripped pattern bag that is great for keeping your lunch and refreshments cool when you are on the go, the bag measures about 15in.(W) x 13in.(H) x 7in.(D), and can fit about 12 cans of coke and a couple of ice packs…..Be aware that the closure on the bag is made with a Velcro strip and if you put too much weight in it, the Velcro tends to open…So I would recommend not to max out the amount of items you are putting inside the bag.

The Cool clutch features Insulated, Coated Polyester in the outside, which is water resistant and can be wiped clean if needed. This shoulder length handles makes carrying the bag easier and more comfortable. The bag also features an outside pocket big enough for your cell phone and keys. The Cool Clutch retails for 18.00.

The second product I had the opportunity to try was the Packin' Heat Scout Travel Accessory. This 9.5in. (W) x3.5in.(H) x6.5in.(D) bag is great to carry your necessities while you are on the go. The bag is made of a lightweight coated cotton twill that is water resistant and can be wiped clean easily. The Packin' Heat Scout Travel Accessory, matches the Cool Clutch to perfection , very cute and practical, the bag has a zipper closure and retails for just 10.00.

Born 2 Impress Tech Event- GreatCall Emergency Responder Review and Giveaway.

Ever since I went back to work and find myself driving back and forth, sometimes at night time I have been interested in emergency response devices….Why? Because 90 % of the times I try to call DH, his phone goes to voice mail….And if he is sleeping, forget it!

A few weeks ago I was offered the opportunity to try the 5-Star Urgent Response from GreatCall. What is the 5-Star Urgent Response device? It is a small device that can be attached to your key chain….Yes, it is that small and light weight (about the size of your car’s remote).

The very first thing you need to do after you receive your device is to charge it and set up your profile. The site is very user friendly and the profile is very easy to set up (just click on the my GreatCall tab on their site). The GreatCall site guides you step by step and you can save and edit your information at any time. When setting up your profile, you will be able to add frequent locations for easy tracking of where you are. You can also add emergency contacts as well as add any medications you are on ( this can be life saving for people with certain allergies and conditions). You can actually add the medication name, the dosage, frequency, and the instructions leaving no guess work to the paramedics or person assisting you.

You can also add your physician’s name, what kind of doctor he is, the doctor’s address, his email, and phone number as well, the same information can be entered for your primary hospital. Also on your profile, you can add your vehicle (s), and as I mentioned, you can update this information at any time.

I have to admit, I wasn’t sure how the device worked before I got it….It was hard to believe that all I needed to do was to press the big black button located in the middle of the responder to get connected to an operator…Then what would they do? Call me to my phone, what if my phone was out of battery or not working? Actually the Responder has a powerful external speaker, allowing you to hear the 5-Star Agent, the 9-1-1 operator, others conferenced in by 5-Star and other voice and tone prompts easily…..The operator connects to the device with a crystal clear connection and yes, you talk through your device, not a cell phone! The operator identifies herself with her name and operator number and I must say she was very friendly. After she identifies herself, she asked me for my name which I gave her and then I proceeded to let her know that I was doing a test call to try the service. Needless to say I was very impressed with the product and the service. This reminds me like something from Star-Trek, just a simple little thing on your keychain that is like instant access and speakerphone to an emergency responder.

There are some facts you need to know about the product and I have to say that I am planning to talk with my in laws and any older couples I know about this amazing product as I could not be happier with it.

Spice Racks to Save Space in the Kitche.

As you all know, one of the main reasons I want to move from our current home is the space limitations….I love big houses with huge kitchens and even though you can say that our current kitchen is generously sized , I love lots and lots of space in my kitchen, but since that is not going to happen just yet, I have to manage with what I have. We spend a lot of time in the kitchen and love gourmet dishes, so we utilize a lot of different spices and I have come to the conclusion that spice racks are the perfect solution to have all the spices we need and save some counter and cabinet space at the same time.

The great thing about spice racks is not only the fact that they can save you a lot of time and space, but they can actually complement your kitchen décor! We currently have two different spice racks in our kitchen. We have both a counter top spice rack and one in our pantry…..There are many designs that will go great in our place and that will display and store all the spices we use. With such a varied selection, It is really hard to pick just one, so I picked a few favorites to show DH.

One of my top items on my list of favorites was a 10" Maple Adjustable Door Mount Spice Rack, that looks really nice and solid and can be mounted on the inside of the cabinets, so you save some cabinet space and that is always a nice thing. Another big favorite was the Euro Wall Mount Spice Racks that comes in a Satin Nickel Finish and will match my kitchen décor really well. It has a simple yet modern design and I can actually add more than one that will free up some additional countertop space and give me some extra spice storage space without changing the kitchen too much!

Either way I go one thing is for sure, the kitchen spice racks are a great tool for people that enjoy cooking and want to improve the decor in the kitchen and one that I can certainly appreciate.

Nutrisystem.......Getting Back in Shape Week 27

This is my blog entry for the Nutrisystem bloger program week number 27.As you know I have been struggling to lose weight after I had my daughter over 4 years ago and even though I tried different diets, I wasn’t able to lose the weight I wanted and to get back in shape. I was then over my ideal weight by over 30 pounds and it was taking a toll on my self-esteem.

Thanks to the Nutrisystem program, I have been able to gain back my confidence and shed the extra weight I have been carrying around. I have to say that I think that what really worked for me was the combination of the Nutrisystem program and me going back to work….The out of the home activity has really made a difference and have helped me to keep a constant rhythm in my weight loss program.

The change has been so huge on me that I have people ask me about what I am doing every single day and I happily tell them that I have been on Nutrisystem. I told you a few weeks ago about the new Nutrisystem Success program, the new color coding for their food and the new and delicious additions to their menu ( My very favorite is the protein shakes), that are closely followed by the different gourmet style meals ( let’s not forget the donuts also).

I know I have said this before, but water is a really important part of the diet so making sure I drink the recommended amount of water every day is a vital part of the program success. I have been religiously bringing my Nutrisystem meals to work and following the guide lines and recommendations and I have to tell you that it is working like a charm.

The great thing is that I think my body is learning and changing the amount of food intake and even though there will be days that I get really hungry, most of the time I am completely satisfied with the Nutrisystem portions and even skip the desert sometimes. Now I just need to find a way to get back in the gym and tighten and strengthen my muscles. I am now 8 pounds away from my final goal…30 pounds!

Rubber Mulch for the Play Ground.

One of the things I really miss since living in a condo is the backyard and that is one of the things I cannot wait to get back……Before we moved, we re-did the backyard and pool area with red mulch and I loved it, but now that we have the ladybug, I would use rubber mulch. I just like what they use on the playgrounds and parks. This in my opinion improves the playground safety.

My sister in law has a house and as she implemented a playground as part of her landscaping and has a whole area for the kids to play in…..She also has some of the red mulch around the playground, but it gets too messy, so rubber mulch will work a lot better for this purpose.She has a complete set up for the kids in her back yard with a fort, monkey bars, swings and slides, she also has a small garden in the back and she has found a really nice way to implement both in her landscaping and the result is really nice and works for both the little ones and the grownups.

I have been doing some research about the different options and found that rubber mulch can be found in different colors to match the theme you are looking for and I also learned that there are other options when it comes to your kids playground flooring, you can go with the rubber mulch in one color, do different zones in different colors, or you can also opt for the Rubber Curbs or add Wear Mats for added safety on the playground.

I can honestly say I was really interested in the subject because as soon as I can get my way, we are moving to a house and building the ladybug her own play area complete with monkey bars, swings, etc.…….I can’t wait to get this done and by the time this happen I will be prepared with all the facts to present to the husband,out the landscape and tell him about the landscape  mulch,but in the meantime, I can share my findings with the sister in law!

If you have been reading this blog, you’ll remember the review and giveaway on the new shoe sensation that arrived from Switzerland not too long ago. Window Boxes.

My daughter loves flowers and she has asked to have her own garden…..Living in a condo, that is a hard thing to have, but we promised her she can have her little garden and got her a flower box. It is one we can set up in our balcony and in which she can grow her little garden….I must add that selecting the flower box was not an easy task as there are some really adorable options and we wanted to make sure she got something she would be able to work with and be part of the décor at the same time. I found that Window Box Planters have a really nice selection of flower boxes.

I especially like the wooden window boxes, but quickly realized that she was a lot better with something simpler. I found a few different options that would be a lot better for us and I especially liked the Wrought Iron Small Solera Window Box Planters with Coco Liner and the Wrought Iron Small Finial windowbox Planters with Coco Liner.

I still have to make up my mind about the flower boxes so my little girl can have her own little flower garden in our balcony……So I guess it is a matter of seeing which of the styles goes better with our decoration and will work best for the little one and for myself. Both of the options I like seem to have the qualities I need, so either way I will be getting a cute tiny taste of nature in my balcony.
