When I was living in Spain I used to have the waxing done every 10-14 days, I never liked having hair sticking out of my legs or anywhere else for that matter…..Well I used to pay between 25 and 30 Euros to have all I needed done, that is probably about 35 to 45 us dollars and I would get my eyebrows, under arms, my legs from the knee down, the bikini line, my toes and my lips!
When I moved here and went to have the wax done I was totally in shock to find out that here I would have to pay about 50.00 just to have my legs done and a total of 150.00- 175.00 to have all the things I used to have done and 3 visits a month that is close to 600.00. Yes, I was not too happy to give up my waxing, but at those prices…..Are you kidding me?
I tried different do it yourself products, but didn’t have too much success there. I ended up making a mess and still not get the results I wanted.

How often do you shower or bathe your little one? Mine gets in the shower an average of 1- 4 times a day and you would think that living in a condo you hardly get dirty…..My bug likes showers so much that she would get herself all messy , just so she can get a shower……My family think is really funny. I really don’t think so especially because sometimes she takes what is inside her diaper to get messy…..
I know, the only good thing about this is that you know that she is as clean as can be, the not so good part is that getting in the shower so often can be really bad for the bug’s skin. Pia Eriksson -Thilde Collection- Review.

One of the ladybug’s favorite play things when she was younger were tags. She would try to get her hands, well , her mouth on whatever tags she had access to which was usually her blanket’s tags, but those were kind of big and she almost choked on one one time so I cut out the tags off her blankets, she wasn’t too happy about it , but I made me feel better.
I have recently found a great website to get really nice and cute tag blankets for the little ones because after all, which baby doesn’t love a good tag blanket? The Thilde Rag from Pia Erikksson is stylish , cute and the most important thing is that it has a very unique design. The tags are not only on the edges of the blanket , but are also sewn into the sides of the quilted blanket. It has quilted gingham and stripes Multi colored squares randomly over the entire blanket making it a lot more fun for the little ones to “find” the different tags and textures.
The little Thilde rag is not only very cute but also a safe way to keep the little one’s entertained for a good amount of time which I am sure any busy mommy welcomes.

A few months ago I saw a commercial for My Baby Can Read learning program and I thought to me self, ohh I would love to try that with the bug. The whole concept was really interesting and I thought it would be a great way to help the bug’s development. A few weeks ago I was asked if I would be interested in reviewing the Your Baby Can read Started kit ……My answer: Oh yes!
Your baby can read is so far the most simple and at the same time exciting learning program that I have laid my hands on. I tried it for a few days and after about a week of doing it, the bug got really exited to take our little “class”.
Your Baby Can Read is a simple, fun and really entertaining early language development system, great to also help with the interaction between you and your little one, not to mention that they love the fact that the little ones have a blast while learning! Your Baby Can Read System was created by DR. Robert Titzer, a recognized expert, infant researcher. A professor and teacher for over 15 years, Dr. Titzer has extensively researched infant learning and development. After teaching in the public school system, Dr. Titzer went on to complete his Masters degree at Pennsylvania State University, and a Ph.D. in Human Performance at Indiana University, where he developed this revolutionary early learning approach with his own infant children.
His research on reading during infant and toddler years captured the interest of educators, researchers, parents, government agencies, and the media worldwide. Dr. Titzer’s research has been published in scientific journals, including the prestigious Psychological Review.
The bug absolutely love the flash cards and the book and we have watched the videos several times. They are short interactive videos that have songs and show the written word to the song, kind of like a Karaoke. The videos also show you a word (such as an animal) and then repeat it a couple of times before proceeding to show you the actual animal that was previously mention.
It is really fun watching my little one so concentrated and repeating the words as they are saying it! This system was baby tested and mommy approved! We both like and enjoy Your Baby Can Read System.

Divvies Treats- Review and Giveaway.

One of the main concerns for parents is the allergies that kids have developed, especially food allergies. It is really hard to keep the younger kids from eating some foods that they might be allergic to.
Thanks goodness, this is not a problem I have faced yet, but I like researching and knowing what my options are if I have to deal with that situation. While looking for those different options I came across Divvies. Divvies is a family based business and they offer a great variety of homemade fun-foods that are made without nuts, tree nuts , eggs or milk. And even though you might think that food without those ingredients might be a bit tasteless……This is definitely not the case with Divvies treats!
We received some of the Divvies treats and we loved sharing the different goodies! We received some of the Sugar cookies which were not as sweet as the ones you’ll get in the store, but that were very yummy.
We also received (and these were my favorites cookies) some of the oatmeal and raisin cookies, really tasty, you really don’t miss any of those ingredients that were not added.
Another product we received and this was an issue to share (DH decided they were his) was two of the divvies gourmet popcorn and they are just outstanding! We got to try the caramel and the chocolate / caramel popcorn and we all agreed that our favorite was the chocolate/ caramel……DELICIOUS!
Divvies also offers a great variety of candies and the ladybug absolutely loved the Super Stars which are sour at first and turn sweet as you eat them, my favorite type of candy:).
One thing that I was surprised with was their BingGo Benjamint Crunch chocolate, I am not a fan of that combination, but the Divvie chocolate mint is not your usual chocolate with that gluey mint filling, Divvies has organic pepper mint chunks candy which I have to confess I didn’t share…….. And the funny thing is that when you read the description for this chocolate bar, it actually says that it might be hard to share…..So true:).
Divvies catalog offers a lot more than the already mentioned treats, they also offer cupcakes, Gourmet food gifts and party favors. So the next time you are looking for a great place to get some fun- foods free of peanuts, tree nuts, eggs and milk , Divvie is a must for you.

Who doesn’t love a good gourmet meal? I know I do! The truth is that making fancy and really yummy dishes every day is something I fantasize about , the reality is that making a gourmet meal takes a lot of preparation and therefore is a little hard to make.
This is why I was so happy when a Florida based company named Delicae Gourmet was brought to my attention! Image a gourmet meal made as easy as 1-2-3. That is exactly what you get from Delicae Gourmet. I was able to review some of their products, and the first thing I have to say is that their prices are really reasonable especially for a quality product like the one they offer.
Since the really picky person when it comes to food is my husband (he likes cooking fancy dishes) , I let him be the one choosing what we were getting from the Delicae Gourmet website and this is what he picked:
Raspberry Merlot Balsamic glaze: There is one word to describe this balsamic glaze and that is: DELICIOUS, you can actually taste the raspberries in it! We used it on top of ice cream and it is a perfect topping for a vanilla ice cream. Is a little sweet and sour at the same time.

Sante Fe Chicken with Black Beans: We love Mexican foods so this was big hit and so easy to make, all you need to do is add some diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, corn, some chicken breast, and chicken broth and let it cook pretty much all day is you are going to use the low setting off your slow cooker.

Old Fashioned Pot Roast. The pot roast was another big hit and this is actually one of DH’s favorite meals that he only gets to eat if he cook it himself, so we were more than willing to try it. As with the other dishes, really easy to make, you pretty much just need the ingredients that they tell you to in the package and again……Just wait for a yummy gourmet meal.
thai curry lentil soup. This was our first try and DH was the “ cook”, really exotic taste . I am not a lentil fan but this was one time that I was more than happy to have them. Really easy to make and one of the Key ingredients which I think is what gives the soup the exotic taste was coconut milk…..YUM YUM YUM.
Steak & Roast Sea salt. We love steaks and again that is DH’S deparment, he is the official Steak cooker ( I am sure I could not cook them as good as he does, so why try:). His steaks are a family favorite when we get together for special occasions and there are really good, but add some of this sea salt with its extra spices and they are just to die for. It adds an extra kick that makes the steaks, just delicious!
Delicae Gourmet is certainly added to my list of favorite stores, and if you have people over for dinner, this is a great option to impress your guests with an awesome meal with very little effort on your part. Also, an important feature is that many of their dishes work very well with a slow cooker. So those of you that have busy days and still want the gourmet meal at the end of the day, the Delicae Gourmet is just what you are looking for.

Calico Critters- Review

Have you seen the Calico Critters? International Playthings is the responsible for these little cute fellows. International Play things specializes in creating tiny little animal families that are designed with their own individual features, clothing for the different characters are handmade and are totally removable, and the clothes has Velcro closures which makes it a lot easier for the kids to dress them up.
You can get everything from a town house to a tree house to collect you Calico critters families, you can also get different ready -to -play sets to create different situations where the kids can have tons of fun using their creativity and imagination.
My favorite items are the furniture and accessories, which are just adorable, the realism on the different pieces is just amazing….It is like going shopping for a house but in a Lilliputian scale:). Anything you might need for a real house the Calico Critter will have, dining room, bedroom sets….You name it, they have it.
I was able to try one of their new sets: Which includes two characters, a little Squirrel dressed in a chick costume complete with a beak, wings, and a fluffy tail. And a little Cat Sister that looks adorable in this soft white bunny costume with 2 big ears and a cotton ball tail. They are just as cute as can be.
The one thing I would recommend is that you get these for kids that are a little older than the ladybug (27 months), because even though she ripped the box open and was really excited when she saw the little critters, she lost interest really quick……She can’t really appreciate how cute they are nor can she change their costumes yet. This would be a great collection item for little girls probably from 4 years old and up.

You all know how much I love purses and how much I love handmade items, so when I came across an Etsy store that has handmade purses, I giggled:). It was like a kid walking into a candy store.
StitchnStudio is an Etsy shop that offers 100% handmade purses, handbags, accessories and a lot more. StitchnStudio designs are unique, verly stylish and extremely fashionable and well made.
I received a Day to Evening Reversible handbag and I can say that it is my favorite handbag right now. The bag is made with a stamped fabric that has a combination of browns and blues, which is just stunning. The top is a solid light brown- natural color that matches the stamped fabric perfectly!
The handle is made with wooden bead of different shades to also match the colors on the fabric, and it has a brown organza ribbon on each side to close the bag which is also decorated with the same wooden beads.
When I reverse the purse I get an equally adorable leopard print purse, that is just perfect for those times when you have a night activity and don’t want to carry a big bag. This little handbag is perfect for a 1000 different occasions, and even Mr. Picky (DH) and my mom loved the handbag. All measurements are approximate: 10 inches tall6 inches wide 12 1/2 inch handles, but this would give you an idea of the bag size.
I am really hard to impress, but the quality and the attention to detail taken while making this little bag is just what you expect to get from one of those extremely expensive brands, even the way the hand bag was wrapped when I received it was beautifully done. This is something you can get for a present and won’t even have to worry about wrapping it!
