Mommy and Me Event -Melie Bianco Bags Review and Giveaway

When she was a student at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City, Melissa became a master at pulling together chic ensembles on a shoestring budget. One thing she learned: a great accessory could carry nearly any outfit. It was the “A-ha!” moment that would later become her company’s mantra.
The small label began by garnering fans at local boutiques in LA. Word-of-mouth (and purse) grew to find devotees going crazy over stylish designs, top-notch construction and (the best part) prices that were a fraction of other handbags on the market. For handbag lovers shying away from animal-based products, Melie Bianco’s high-quality faux-leather materials were the perfect answer.
Today, Melie Bianco commands a large share of the market for vegan, budget-friendly fashion handbags. Melie Bianco’s designs have been spotted in major fashion magazines like Vogue, Marie Claire, Glamour, Lucky, InStyle, Oprah, Cosmo Girl, Seventeen, Self, People, and Life & Style among others.
Interesting isn’t it? Well a few weeks ago they contacted me and asked me if I would be interested in doing a review of one of their bags……Me a handbag? I was on their website in no time looking at the very stylish designs and I have to say I loved what I saw in their catalog. There is a lot and I mean a lot to choose from and since they offer you different styles and most of the styles come in different colors as an option, you can see that getting in lots of trouble is really easy for me here.
I was given the opportunity to pick a handbag and as I mentioned, with so many options the selection was certainly not an easy thing to do…….So I sent them a list of some of my favorites and let them pick one of them for me to review. They sent me the Alexis Eyelet And Studs Flap Over Carryall in black.
This bag is decorated with gold toned studs and eyelets that highlight this flap over carryall which you can hold close or wear it over your shoulder. A button snap and zipper closure adds that extra security. This flap over bag is a really great addition to your…..young and mother looking. The bag will be the perfect touch for many different style outfits and killer when you are wearing jeans.
The bag is lined up with a gold and brown polka dot satin fabric in the inside that is really attractive. With a zipper pocket and two smaller inside pockets, the bag is really spacious and will allow you to carry all your needs with you and even a couple of diapers for those with little ones(Size: 15"L x 4"W x 13"H). Made with high quality faux leather material, the bag is really soft to the touch and very comfortable. The bag is under the Casual Cool category and I think that is the perfect definition for this handy handbag!

I was able to try one of the Briefs which features an inside belt that allows you to adjust the brief. The belt is made with soft fabric which keeps it very comfortable and it is pretty much the same system used to adjust a bra……Comfortable and discrete. Certainly a very handy tool, especially on those days that you feel bloated. The belt's hook and eye closure offers four levels of adjustment from moderate to firm control. Mommy and Me Event -Scholastic Review.
I love Scholastic’s DVD’s and honestly think they are just a great way to entertain the little ones with something that is not only entertaining , but also appropriate….. I can’t believe some of the cartoons you will find now days……I have been watching even closer what the ladybug watches lately and you will be surprised with some of the content in the cartoons!
This is one reason why I love even more my Scholastic DVD’s and their Max and Ruby DVD is not an exception. My daughter ADORES the little bunnies, and when I received the Max and Ruby DVD, she was overly excited to put the DVD on.
The DVD is part of the Rose Mary Wells collection. The Stories on THE ROSEMARY WELLS COLLECTION include:
MAX’S CHOCOLATE CHICKEN (narrated by Clavelle Dalferes) -- Will Max and Ruby find the most Easter eggs to win the chocolate chicken? Only the Easter Bunny knows for sure.

You all know how much I love the bamboo products and the since bamboo is arguably one of the world's best sustainable resources. With a growth rate of up to a meter or more per day, bamboo holds the world record as the fastest growing plant.
It is said to be the new cotton, since it shares many of the same properties and offers a few advantages. It is more anti-bacterial than other fabrics, which are very absorbent, causing them to hold dampness in. Because bamboo wicks moisture away, it's great for your circulation and skin, preventing over-heating or chills from trapped-in moisture.
Bamboo is composed of a matrix with various microscopic gaps, which allows the fiber to be more breathable, comfortable and have better thermal regulation than cotton, wool, or synthetic fibers, keeping you cooler, drier and more comfortable. The unique structure also allows bamboo apparel to absorb and evaporate perspiration faster than any other fabric.
It is also hypoallergenic, and its organic, natural fiber properties make it non-irritating to even the most sensitive skin. Bamboo apparel also protects you from UV rays, naturally.
If all that weren't enough, bamboo apparel is good for our ecosystems because it does not require pesticides, insecticides, or fertilizers, and does not involve the use of genetically modified organisms. Since I first discover bamboo a couple of years ago I am always in looking for new bamboo specialized stores and that is how I found Sweet Dreams Bamboo. The specialty is one of my very favorite bamboo items ……Bedding sets and blankets!
They also offer something that until now I have not seen in bamboo, baby sleeping sacks, and since I know how extremely soft and comfortable bamboo is, I was very interested in something as necessary for a baby as a sleep sack (thinking about bug number two).
I had the chance to try one of the Zippered Bamboo Fiber Baby Sleeping Sacks and I was expecting the sleeping sack to be as soft as can be and with the properties of bamboo, this would definitely be a great addition to any baby bed time.

The result is a fine piece of jewelry that your little one will treasure for a long time and that can become a perfect keepsake. The ID plate can fit ten capital letters on each side.
I have been looking for something like this for my daughter for a long time, but have not found anything quite as nice for her as the Heart on Her Wrist bracelet in the Julian and CO. catalog.

I had the chance to try the Egyptian Fennel with Rosemary and mint Facial Cream for demanding skin……I have the hardest time with my skin ever since I moved to Florida and this face cream has worked great for me. The first good thing I have to point out about it is the smell…..I loved the earthy herbal smell on the cream, reminds me of the days I lived in Spain , really close to Morocco……. This is a very common smell in Moroccan shops and restaurants.
The cream is made with FENNEL: astringent, anti-microbial, deep-cleansing.
ROSEMARY: antioxidant, regenerative, nurturing.
MINT: cooling, refreshing, purifying .And if I was not impressed with the Pangea organics already……The box where they pack the cream is a molded fiber box, manufactured with zero waste and is created with 100% post consumer newsprint without glues or dies……The best part , is that if you soak the box for one minute and plant it about 1” deep in soil. Up should spring medicinal herbs found in their products! How neat is that?
I just learned about that aspect and will head over to Home Depot later on today to buy all I need to plant my box!

Mommy and Me Event -HearthSong Review and Giveaway.

As you all know I am always on the lookout for developmental, quality toys, not only for my daughter, but for kids of all ages and I have to say that the HearthSong catalog has the kind of products that I certainly prefer. They have the toys that will be fun and help my little one to develop her imagination and many other different skills.
I recently had the chance to try the Cottage Play House. My daughter like any 3 year old LOVES her own play space and this house is the perfect play house for her to play by herself with her toys or even have a friend or two to come over and visit her at “her place”.
The house is just adorable and really easy to set up and with a 5' x 4' x 5'-tall measurements, the play house has enough space for your little princess to have enough space to sit comfortably and move around inside as she pleases.
When I first saw the play house I was afraid that it was going to be loose and wiggly, but after I set it up (get all the poles put together set them on the side and follow instructions, it took me five minutes to have the tent up), the Nylon play house body actually tightens the whole construction so it is more sturdy than what I had anticipated .The house’s nylon shell features “ pocket” compartment on each corner so you can stabilized the house, it also features several ribbon tights ( made of the same Nylon material) to secure the tent.
The house is absolutely adorable and has fold up windows all around the house and a zippered entrance door to get in the house, and a smaller back entrance in which you can read “Dog House”. There are flowers and trees all around it. The play house comes with two bags to store the poles for whenever you need to take it down.
