We are big, actually huge Building blocks fans, not only because they help the little ones to learn about dimensions and shapes, but also because they teach them how to design and create endless structures and of course basic motor skills like eye hand coordination. Building blocks are also great toys to share and promote kids interaction….So as I said we are big block fans.
I have done reviews for different blocks but nothing quite like the ones I bring you on this occasion…..Smart Blocks are a one of a kind and totally unique type of building blocks. What sets them apart from the rest? They are talking educational blocks! The inventor and CEO of Smart Blocks Inc. is a mechanical engineer that comes from a family of educators with three masters degrees and a PhD in education and over 50 years of experience in the field of education and child development. An engineer, a school district superintendent, a teacher, and a school counselor were the core design and development team members for the Smarcks.
Smarcks combines the fun of the construction blocks and education, teaching the kiddies about colors, counting, nursery rhymes, music, math, spelling, shapes, and good manners …I know these blocks are just awesome and LOTS of fun, so the little ones are learning and having a great time at the same time.
The SMARCKS Smart Blocks are available in several different learning sets. We received the 70 SMARCKS blocks kit, which comes with a blue talking block and we also received most of the other talking blocks to the ladybug’s delight and my enjoyment. By the way, they come in a cute hard shelled container to keep the blocks neat and tidy when not in use. The kit features specially designed blocks that will activate the talking smart blocks. The trick is to know where to place the talking blocks to set them off…..It is like a puzzle where you need to place the piece in the right spot.
When you place a counting talking block in a 5, 2 and or any number block, and then add to that number the talking block will tell you that you have placed it on a 5, 2 or whatever number peaks that are on the block, that alone was impressive, but it really wowed me when I place one of the talking blocks on 2-5 blocks and it told me I have placed it on a 5 and 5 block and proceeded to count to ten…..The Smarcks is on top of my list of educational toys…..One of those products I add to my great finds list!
