When we moved to our condo we bought some really nice and stylish lights and lamps to match the decorations and they look awesome…The only problem with them is the light they provide us with is simply not too good specially for someone like me that does crafts and needs all the lighting possible !
I have tried a couple of different lights, but none of them worked the way I have expected and I have pretty much decided not to do any crafts at night time cause it was too harsh on my eyes….Then a few weeks ago I found DayLight.
About DayLight:
In 1990, Patrick Jacquelin discovered the daylight bulb on a trip abroad. Recognizing that natural daylight is the healthiest and more comfortable light for our eyes, he realized that this 'daylight simulation effect' could benefit thousands of individuals who need natural light for everyday tasks, or more specifically, for hobbies that involved intricate detail and color matching. From this The Daylight Company was created. Since then, the company has steadily grown and today they are the market-leading brand of specialty lighting technology for the hobby industry across Europe and they are well on their way to making Daylight the No.1 brand for Craft Lighting.
Their aim is to bring Daylight™ light indoors and give you the opportunity to get more out of your hobby or work. Now you can glue, stitch, paint, quilt, match colors of all materials - whatever your hobby involves - at any time of day or night and most importantly, for longer. Their lamps come supplied with a Daylight bulb. These are perfect for detailed tasks where good clarity, color matching and comfort are necessities.
I had the chance to try the Slimline Table Lamp in Black. The slim, modern design of the lamp caught my attention right away, but what made me love it was the easy setup and adaptability…I can adjust the lamp to whatever height and tilt it as need to get the exact lighting I need where I need it.
The Slimline Table Lamp is a black gloss desk lamp that is ergonomically perfect. The best part is that the lamp provides a no shadow and clean light that does not produce that bothersome bright light that I was getting from the other lamps I tried and did not hurt my eyes. One more thing I love about the lamp is that it does not get as hot as other lamps I used.
Setting up the lamp is a breeze and can be literally done in just a few seconds. I started using the lamp at night when I was doing my crafts at night, but now I use it at all times to help my sight…. I wear glasses and focusing on a fixed point that is not properly illuminated can give me a really big headache…..And that applies to working on the computer. I use the lamp when I work on my computer and it makes a HUGE difference for me.
