I was introduced to the Kio Kio line of products just a few weeks ago and I should say I am really happy I found this great product line. The Kio Kio natural bodycare range includes body creams, body lotions and body washes, a body mist, and a soap. I am a fragrance lover …To the point that at one time you could count 15 different fragrances in my collection, but with time I became a lot more reserved in my taste for fragrances, making it more challenging to find a body line. I love clean soft scents that are not too over whelming.
Kio Kio sent me the Pacific Tiare & Ti Kauka body mist . The fragrance is an exotic blend between Gardenia and citrus. The mix is superb and the result is a soft fragrance with a hint of Gardenia with a very special touch of an exotic fragrance that I am not familiar with and the way it is put together creates what has become one of my favorite fragrances ever.
I also received the body lotion of the same fragrance and it is a light weight cream that is easily absorbed by the skin and feels just great when you put it on. The Kio Kio is now my after the shower must wear fragrance and I just love the clean feeling that it gives me and at least for me is very relaxing. The body lotion contains native botanical extracts, pure organic New Zealand spring water and vitamin rich natural emollients including organic shea butter, jojoba oil and organic sweet almond oil and vitamin E. Ti Kauka is naturally cleansing and nurturing for the skin.
You can find the Kio Kio body line at the different retailers across the US and their product price range goes from 15.00 for the soap to 52.00 for the body cream (body butter). The Kio Kio is one of my great finds this year and I have every intention to try the complete line.

Nutrisystem.......Getting back in Shape! Week Seven.

This is week 7 since I started the Nutrisystem Blogger program and I have lost a total of 8 lbs! Even though it is hard to stick to a diet sometimes, it is really nice when you see the results you are getting and not only you are able to see, it, but other people around you can see it as well…I can’t tell you how good it feels when I notice my tops being loose in the waist and even though it might sound silly I was ecstatic that I have to keep pulling my pants up….It is a great feeling if you are working toward that!
I, as I said before, try to make sure to stick to the Nutrisystem program and when eating something that is not part of their food catalog, I try to follow their directions and recommendations as close as possible and I have to say it is working like a charm.
One very important feature of the Nutrisystem program, is the amount of support you get from their staff members. As with any challenge, support is a huge part of success and losing weight is a really hard challenge….Funny I did not think that way a few years ago when I was no more than 100 pounds, I remember thinking that if someone wanted to lose weight, then all they need to do is just try to eat less…..That serves me right, I can certainly see things differently now and know not to underestimate other peoples limitations with food or any such endeavor for that matter. People tend to make other people’s problems out to be something easy to resolve…Not so much so, when it becomes their own problem!
I have 22 more pounds to go and feeling and looking great! Thanks Nutrisystem!!!!!

The craftsmanship and attention to detail that includes hand sewn leather lining is outstanding and I must add that the shoes look even nicer in person than what they look like in the pictures.
I had to break them in a little on the upper part but after a couple of uses they were as comfortable as I like my shoes to be (remember that I have flat feet, so it is normal for me to need to break shoes in to be completely comfortable with them). I Love the shoes, love the style, and love the design, so I highly recommend that you take a look at the Alegria Shoe store for your Summer shoes. Boogie Board LCD Screen Tablet Review and Giveaway.

When I found the Boogie Board (Improv Electronics ) website a few weeks ago, I thought this was a really neat product and even more so when I had the chance to see and try one of these practical boards. The Boogie Board tablet is an 1/8th inch thin tablet that you can use to take notes or shopping list among many other uses. The tablet is really easy to use, all you need is the stainless steel, telescoping stylus that is included with the board or any many other suitable instruments…..Even your fingers will do the trick! To delete your notes or anything on the board, all you need to do is press the button on the top of the board.
The Boogie board tablet is pressure –sensitive …… It all depends on how hard you press the LCD screen as to how thick the lines you are writing are displayed.
Since the Boogie Board is so thin and light weight, you can take it with you in your bag, purse, or briefcase……You have the option to buy a  protective neoprene sleeve which has a small side pocket for the Stylus( sold separately ). The case and the LCD  screen are made from plastic that is safe for school and around the house.
Great and very useful, I have been using mine on a daily basis since I got it. The Board uses a coin cell battery that is rated for over 50,000 erase cycles (that’s 20 erases a day for six years)…So this board will last for a long time!
I love the fact that I do not have to worry about my pen running out of ink, not having a sharpener or anything at all because even if I lost the stylus I still can use the board with no problem at all. My little 3 ½ years old daughter likes the board as much as I do, even if this is not a toy she has a blast drawing and erasing anything that she decides to “ draw or write” (how nice is it to let your children write without giving them a pen or crayons to write on the wall  ). And whatever you write on the screen will stay until you press the delete button; I have left notes on it for days and even placed the board in the sleeve only to find them just as I left them. This is definitely one of the products I label as a great find!

BRITAX ANNOUNCES VOLUNTARY SAFETY RECALL

CHARLOTTE, N.C., June 23, 2011 — BRITAX Child Safety, Inc. announced today that it is conducting a voluntary safety recall of the B-NIMBLE® stroller. The recall includes B-NIMBLE strollers manufactured on or after August 1, 2010 for Model #s U311771, U311773, U311775 and U311780.

No injuries have been reported, however BRITAX has determined an audible click heard when the brake pedal is pressed can give a false impression that the brake is fully engaged when it is not. When the brake is not engaged, the stroller can move unexpectedly posing a risk of injury to the child occupant.

To address this issue, BRITAX will send a free replacement B-NIMBLE stroller with a modified brake assembly to any consumer who previously purchased a B-NIMBLE stroller affected by this recall.

All B-NIMBLE stroller owners should confirm whether their B-NIMBLE is affected by verifying the model number. In order to receive a free replacement B-NIMBLE stroller, consumers owning an affected B-NIMBLE stroller must first call the BRITAX Customer Service Department at 1-888-427-4829.

Consumers should immediately stop using their strollers and contact BRITAX for information and to request an improved replacement stroller. Consumers who resume use of their strollers while awaiting the replacement should always ensure that the brake is fully engaged.

Owners of the B-NIMBLE stroller who have not registered their product or need to verify existing registration should contact the BRITAX information line, toll free at 1-888-427-4829.

The polos are perfect for every day wear or a weekend at the beach.
I am a big fan of confortable; stylish clothing and I have to say I found a new favorite, not only for the design and fit, but also for the quality …..I was concerned that the polo’s collar color might change, but I have washed the polo a few times already and the fabric remains the same.
They also sent me a Navy Blue polo for DH and he also loved the shirt quality and fit! Both polos are true to size.

Nutrisystem.......Getting back in Shape! Week Six.

This is week 6 in the Nutrisystem Blogger Program …This week my weight stayed the same, but the funny thing is that even though I did not lose an extra pound, I can see a big difference and I am noticing changes like my clothes are a lot more lose than they were and the best part is that I am not the only one to notice, I have people telling me I look a lot skinnier each time I see them. My husband says that muscle weighs twice as much as fat, so I think I am losing fat and gaining muscle which is a really good thing!
I am going to actually do something I was supposed to do from the beginning and take my measurements, so I can track the progress with that and I am going to start using my body mass application from Nutrisystem that I downloaded in my iPad.
One really good thing is that I can see the progress and even though we are pretty much in the pool and BBQ every weekend, I have been able to stick to the Nutrisystem program and keep the weight off. I feel and look better that I have in a long time and I am really happy with the results I see from the program. My goal is to lose 30 pounds and I have lost 7 pounds in 6 weeks and I must say that is more than I have been able to do in the past, so I am really happy with the results I see with the Nutrisystem program.

Kolcraft Preferred Position 2-in-1 Bassinet & Incline Sleeper

DH and I are seriously thinking about having another bug and we even changed insurance so I can have maternity included…So yes, we are seriously thinking about it, even though I have decided that I want to lose weight and get back in shape before pursuing a new baby! So next year sounds like a good time for another bug.
One of the great things of doing reviews is that I get to know of a lot of great products that otherwise I might not know about and I certainly love being a Kolcraft mom and having the chance to review some of their products. I have recently had the chance to try one of their newest additions to the Kolcraft family.
The Kolcraft Preferred Position 2-in-1 Bassinet & Incline Sleeper. The bassinet is a lot easier to set up than what I have expected at first (it does have a few pieces to put together), but it was really not hard to assemble…I was able to do so by myself in no more than 20 min. when the ladybug was in bed.
The bassinet features an off white color decorated with brown which makes this color combo perfect for any sex and great if you have no idea what sex your baby is going to be or you just want a gender neutral piece for the nursery…..This is definitely the way to go if you are planning to keep it for a second baby.
I was really impressed on how thoughtful Kolcraft was when they designed the Preferred Position bassinet …From the choice of color, to the easy set up and specially the incline sleeper attachment….The ladybug suffered from really bad colic and I think something like this could have help her a lot! The attachment can be easily removed when your baby no longer needs it.
Please note that The bassinet and inclined sleeper are designed to be used by infants up to 3 months of age or up to a weight of 15 lbs. so when your baby exceeds the recommended age/weight, you should stop the use of it. Bassinet and Incline Sleeper should no longer be used by a child who can push himself/herself up on hands and knees.
As I said before, there are many features to love about this bassinet and not only the ones I have already mentioned, but there is also the Light Vibes electronic unit with classical music ( includes 10 classical songs and lullabies, 4 nature sounds, and 3 vocal recordings with volume control) , and soft-glow check light. …Which by the way is removable. (The bassinet requires 3 AA batteries which are not included with the unit).
Another great feature and one of my very favorites is the fact that the bassinet very conveniently converts to a rocking bassinet! The bassinet has a large storage basket for baby’s clothes, diapers, or other necessities making the bassinet even more convenient. That was one thing I could have really used in my old bassinet. With locking wheels for room to room mobility, adjustable 3-tier canopy (the canopy mobile has three plush-bear toys to keep the little ones entertained). Did I say they thought of everything? The mattress even comes with a washable fitted sheet!

As an on the go mom and an iPad user, I am always looking for helpful applications that would simplify different tasks. With photography and videos being a big thing in this family, we are always trying to keep the ladybug’s funny episodes documented, but I have to be honest, even though I have tried a few different apps I was not quite happy with the results until I tried Flixlab.
This extremely easy to use and easy to download application allows you to create movies using the photos and videos on your iphone and ipad….The application very conveniently lets you exit it while its working it’s magic and creating your movie so unlike many other applications, you can go ahead and do something else while it is working.
As I said before the application is really easy to use and guides you through the process step by step. You can “ tag” your contacts on facebook in your movie, do different themes( effects), and add music to it. You can also decide the length of your movie…The great thing about this application is not only how convenient and easy to use it is, but the fact that it is completely free!
After you are done, all you need to do is name your movie. You can then preview your work or simply create your movie. So if you were looking for a great application for your iphone or ipad to create movies with all those pictures and videos you have, then Flixlab is the app for you.

I have mentioned a few times before on how much the ladybug enjoys water…..To the point that she will take 2-3 showers in a day and even more if I would let her. She spends a lot of time playing in the shower and loves spending a lot of time there. I don’t feel like this is a bad thing till a point, but she likes “ washing her hair” with soap which is really not a good thing to keep her hair pretty and healthy, so I knew I had to get a hair product to help from getting her hair too dry and unhealthy as I was already beginning to see signs of this.

I just love green products and if they are green, safe products for my little ladybug, then you can count me in, especially after I had the chance to try their great products.
I received the 4oz Natural Shampoo which according to their site is a sulfate free Natural Shampoo that has added sun protection. Living in Florida, I have to love any extra sun protection for any part of the body! The shampoo which has a really soft scent smells delicious and goes a long ways as you just need a small amount for the little ones. The Natural Shampoo can be used for babies and up, so you can use the same shampoo for all your kids and even mom can enjoy this nourishing shampoo.
Not only do I feel more confident knowing that I am using a safe product on my little one, but I LOVE the fast results I have been able to see since I started to use the products on the bug just a few weeks ago. I also received the 4oz Miracle Detangler. And it is the perfect ally for the shampoo. The Miracle Detangler is a little bit more liquid than what you’ll expect from a conditioner or detangler and actually can be sprayed on the hair. The results I have achieved by using both products are amazing. As I mentioned before I started to notice the bug’s dry hair and in it’s overall bad shape because of her constant hair washing and using soap on her hair.
The detangler has restored the shine and softness I want in my little one’s hair and my guess is that it has to have some kind of conditioning agent to achieve these results. Her hair feels really soft, and silky, and helps me manage her curly hair that even though it is short now, can be a little tricky to style. The detangler can be used on wet or dry hair. Again….Her hair smells awesome after using these products.
The Original Sprout also offers some other hair products like a deep conditioner and a leave in conditioner that I am planning to buy for the ladybug, at least one the two (I think the deep conditioner is a great idea for this summer and pools).
The last product I had the chance to try was the 4oz Scrumptious Baby Cream. As with the other two products, the baby cream smells really soft and gives the bug a clean and fresh scent that makes it really difficult not to squeeze her! Just the scent you expect to smell from a baby (even if mine is already 4 years old)! The Scrumptious Baby Cream is meant for babies and up and can be used on both the face and body. The cream also offers sun protection (Natural Zinc for Added Sun Protection plus organic rosemary for added benefits. Non-greasy & extra hydrating for every skin type). This leaves the little one’s skin very soft and smooth.
