As you will remember from my first Ozeri review: Ozeri began as a leading supplier of professionally designed and crafted housewares for the fully furnished vacation property market, and is today an emerging brand in the consumer market. I found the brand while looking for products for the Everything Home Event. While Ozeri sells most of their products to the hotel and resort industry, they do make many key products available to the consumer market directly via Amazon, so I was able to receive a few different products to try for the event and I will be bringing you the different products in a series of reviews….And giveaways! The first review/ giveaway, started with the Zenith Digital Kitchen Scale and for the second post I bring you the Moderna Artisan Series Double Wall 2 oz Thermo Glasses which is a modern and elegant glass set. The Moderna glasses are made of durable, heat resistant, mouth-blown borosilicate glass and they are just great entertaining glasses. Thanks to the opposing mouth-blown dimples, the glasses offer an effortless grip…The little dimples not only facilitate to get a good grip on your glass, but it also gives the set a very distinctive and out of the ordinary look.
Even though the Moderna glasses are mouth-blown they are also microwave and dishwasher safe. Thanks to the double wall design your hands will stay cool even if the drink in the glass is really hot, and this is something I tested myself…I placed one of the glasses filled with water in the microwave for almost a minute using the high setting and stopped it when the water started to boil over…Even though the water was very hot the glass was perfectly fine to get out of the microwave with bare hands and hold it with no issues at all. This same design allows you to have your chilled drinks in the glasses and get no condensation….I also tested this myself! I have to say I am very impressed with both the design and performance.
The glasses are great for serving hot drinks like coffee, cappuccino, or teas…..And also great for cocktails and frozen beverages and have them beautifully set up. The four glasses set retails for 29.99 and is on sale right now for 25.00. I love the Moderna Artisan glasses from Ozeri and give them two thumbs up!

Nutrisystem.......Getting Back in Shape! Week 16

The Nutrisystem blogger program week 16.As you all know, I am a proud member of the Nutrisystem blog program. When I started the program I was not sure of what to expect, but I must say that I could not be happier with the results. There a lot of new and some not new diet products popping out every day and they promise you to lose an incredible amount of weight in a really short time. Like anyone that wants to lose weight, I want to lose weight as soon as possible, BUT I also want to lose the weight in a healthy way.
What I get from Nutrisystem is a constant and gradual weight loss so I am not shocking my body with medication or any kind of drugs to reach my goal. I just eat balanced and smaller portions than I did before and I must say I would rather take a little longer and lose the weight in a healthier way. Besides, most people that I’ve seen losing a lot of weight in a speedy time usually have a sick look (and then they end up gaining the weight back)…..I guess that when you lose a lot of weight so quickly your body does not have time to adapt and you haven’t learned good eating habits. On the other hand I keep getting comments on how good I look and the “what are you doing to lose the weight” on a daily basis. One other thing that is very common when you are using pills to lose weight, is that the instant you stop taking them, you get all the weight back, so as I said I am so very happy with my results. Thanks Nutrisystem for a great program!
I am also going to get back into my boxing classes next week and will share a little video on my next Nutrisystem log.
I've lost 13 pounds so far.....17 to go!

Born 2 Impress Everything Home Event Green Pan- Review and Giveaway.

I spend a fair amount of time in the kitchen and make mostly everything from scratch. If there is something I’ve learned while working at the Marriott’s restaurant in Spain, is that a cook needs the right utensils in order to get the food the way she wants it to be. I also learned that high quality pans are a must. So when I get pans and utensils for my kitchen I only get what I think is high quality. Needless to say I am very picky when it comes to the utensils I will use to prepare my family’s meals.
I use non-stick pans quite often and there is nothing more annoying than a non- stick pan that does not do the job it is supposed to do. I was looking for new pans when I came across Green Pan and the name caught my attention right way, so I did a little research about the company and this is what I found:

Traditional non-stick is achieved by coating the fry pan with PTFE (PolyTetraFluoroEthylene); a waxy, synthetic substance. PTFE has well-documented disadvantages in practical household use. Above 260° C/500°F, this PTFE coating starts to decompose. The released fumes are proven to be lethal to small pets like birds! On humans, these fumes can potentially harm the respiratory tract and cause nausea and headaches. So, when you overheat your pan you damage not only your pan but possibly also your health.

GreenPan™ does not use PTFE, but comes with Thermolon™ non-stick technology which is a healthy alternative to the market. Thermolon™ is heat resistant up to high temperatures. This means that GreenPan™ has an extra safety feature; if you overheat your pan, even up to 450°C/850°F, no toxic fumes will be released and the coating will not blister or peel.
A good quality,health oriented and eco-friendly pan….Yes this pan is right up my alley! I was sent the small pan in the Copenhagen collection ( 8” pan), and the very first thing I noticed was the weight and quality on the pan. The elegant design features a stainless steel / gray color combination and I must add that the pan not only looks great, but performs wonderfully.
I have tried a few different pan brands and I have to say that the green pan is among my two favorite brands so far. The Copenhagen pan I received (the 8” pan), is really easy to clean and heats up evenly, it is the perfect size for pancakes or cooking eggs. The pan is definitely a great addition to my kitchen utensils!

Little Tikes Expands Recall of Toy Workshop and Tool Sets Due to Choking Hazard

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, in cooperation with the firm named below, today announced a voluntary recall of the following consumer product. Consumers should stop using recalled products immediately unless otherwise instructed. It is illegal to resell or attempt to resell a recalled consumer product.


Name of product: Little Tikes ™ Workshop and Tool Sets
Units: More than 1.7 million additional units (about 1.6 Million toy workshop sets and trucks with the same toy nails were recalled in August 2009).
Manufacturer: Little Tikes, of Hudson, Ohio
Hazard: The recalled workshop and tool sets have oversized, plastic toy nails that can pose a choking hazard to young children.
Incidents/Injuries: The firm has reported two additional incidents, occurring prior to the 2009 recall, of children who choked when the toy nail became lodged in their throat. Both children were treated in a hospital and made a full recovery.
Description: This recall involves the toy nails sold as part of 11 additional models of Little Tikes® Workshop and tool sets listed below. The toy nails are oversized, plastic and about 3 1/4 inches long by 1 1/4 inch in diameter. The nails are either red or blue colors and have a large round head; below the head there is a plastic ridge, slightly smaller than the nail head and about 1 inch in diameter. The model number may be found on some of the products.
Sold By:Mass merchandise retailers nationwide, from 1990 through 2004 for between $25 and $100.
Manufactured in: United States and China
Remedy: Consumers should immediately take the toy nails away from young children and contact the firm for free replacement toy nails.

I came across Mohawk just a few weeks ago and immediately wanted to add them to the Everything Home Event as their wide selection of products would be a perfect fit for it. I was given the chance to try one of their area carpets and I must say it was not an easy pick, but at the end DH and I agreed the Mohawk Home Eloquence Dark Gold 5 ft. 3 in. x 7 ft. 6 in. Area Rug would look amazing in our place and I have to say we are very happy with our choice.
Even though you can’t really appreciate it in the product shot, the rug features a really elegant design and a really nice color combination including gold, green and a brick red. It is made of 100% olefin for durability (Olefin fiber is a synthetic fiber made from a polyolefin, such as polypropylene or polyethylene. It is used in the manufacture of various textiles as well as clothing, upholstery, wallpaper, ropes, and vehicle interiors. : Definition from Wikipedia). Olefin's advantages are its strength, colorfastness and comfort, stain, mildew, abrasion and sunlight resistance, and good bulk and cover. The carpet shows a great quality and attention to details. The color selection and design they used on this carpet also makes it suitable for many different décor styles and layouts and even for different rooms in the house.
We decided the best place for the carpet was my husband’s Den. I would highly recommend a backing material to keep the rug from slipping. The rug is stain resistant which is a must for anyone with small children.  It is about 5 ft. 3 in. x 7 ft. 6 in with a price tag of 219.00 at Home depot which is one of the many selected Mohawk retailers across the US. The selection of area carpets and mats is really wide to match any décor and style. One other thing I really like is that they offer sets of matching area rugs that I must say are really nice and can really add the finishing touches to a room.
The carpet is made with high quality materials and is a lot thicker than what I had expected as I only saw the carpet on-line. As I said before, even though I knew I would like the carpet just by looking at the photo, it really exceeded my expectations and the quality and color are far better than what you can appreciate on the photo. This is a great addition to our home decor!

Born 2 Impress Everything Home Event- Baby Bedding Zone Review and Giveaway.

In 2004, Laura Abro, a work at home mom with her second child on the way, was frustrated by her lack of options when trying to find the perfect crib bedding for her daughter's nursery. With no time to run from store to store, she turned to the Internet, but was very disappointed with the available ecommerce stores. She found that they either had a very small selection of bedding sets or a poorly-designed and difficult-to-use website (often both!). She was inspired to build a better choice for new moms, and in early 2008, her dream became a reality with the launch of Baby Bedding Zone.
I am always looking for new bedding stores for kids and I found Baby Bedding Zone a couple of months ago. One of the first things that caught my attention was their selection of gender neutral designs as those can be a bit hard to find and since we are planning to have another baby maybe some time next year, I want to know where to look for cute bedding sets that can be for either sex. The MiGi Baby designs are particularly adorable!
I am redoing the ladybug’s room and changing some of the furniture, paint and curtains, so I was really happy to receive the Fairyland Curtains with Tiebacks and Valance to review. The curtains are made in the USA from 100% Egyptian cotton and with an impeccable attention to details, the Fairland curtains feature a set of two solid green drapery panels that by the way are lighter than the color shown in their website, so they match perfectly with the ladybug’s room colors. The curtains have a rod pocket top and white lining about 96" long and green and pink striped tiebacks to accentuate the curtains along with toile swag valance that are included with the set.
The window valance has a Velcro top and can be hung by using a board (50" wide by 5"D). The board not included, but can be found at home depot for about 10.00.
The curtain is not only very cute, but also made with high quality materials and I must add the design used for the drapes is really out of the ordinary. The curtain set looks really good and was the final touch I was looking for to bring the whole room together.
