Vintage Couture Inc- Review and Giveway

Vintage Couture, Inc. (formerly known as My Vintage Baby) is a unique children's clothing company with clothing for infants, girls (up to size 14) and boys (up to size 16) and even moms! They also carry coordinating 18" doll clothing, headbands, hairbow's and diaper bags. They are a direct sales company, which means women all over the US can join their team and sell their products; thus creating their "own business" and earning an income while having fun!

I was given the chance to try one of their products for review and after taking a look at their online catalog and falling in love with a few of their designs, I couldn’t help but to pick a coat for myself…..Although I was really torn between getting the coat for me or the ladybug (they have the same design for girls). I was a little selfish and got the coat for me this time…..Sorry buggy!

The coat is absolutely gorgeous and even though it says on their site it is light weight, I did not expect it to be as light weight as it really is!

The Tan Leopard coat by Vintage Couture features an extra light very soft to the touch fabric. The coat features black faux fur cuffs and three beautiful black bling buttons in the front (a fourth button is sent in case you lose one of the buttons). I think these items give a really nice touch to the jacket.

I wore the coat to a holiday dinner just the other night and wore it as a compliment to a black pant and top and looked amazing......Actually I received compliments on the coat from people I didn’t even know! The attention to detail and craftsmanship is impeccable and to add a fun and colorful detail, the jacket is lined with a beautiful red color fabric that only shows if the jacket is unbuttoned.

The coat is perfect for those days that it is cold enough that you need something extra to keep you warm without needing a heavy jacket or coat. The coat can be dressed up or dressed down as it looks awesome with tight jeans and leggings.

The retail price on the coat is 146.00 for the misses sizes that goes from XS- XXL and from 104.00 to 112.00 for the girls with available sizes from 12M to 7-14!

Born 2 Impress Must Have Products - Soda Stream Soda Maker Review and Giveaway.

Last year I was introduced to the SodaStream Soda maker and on that first occasion I had the chance to try the SodaStream Penguin Starter Kit.

The machine is really stylish and looks awesome with stainless steel appliances. But the very best part of the soda maker is how easy it is to set up. It took DH just a few minutes to get it together and start using it. Once it is set up, making the soda is extremely easy, all you need to do is fill up the bottle with water until you reach the limit mark, put it in the soda maker to carbonate, and then add the syrup mix and there you go fresh made soda!

You can add as much or as little carbonation as you want so no more flat soda! Something great about it is that the sodas are surprisingly good. The Penguin is what you would call the top of the line on the SodaStream line and is also the most expensive one starting at $199.95. They offer 3 other designs that are more inexpensive and I had the chance to try the Genesis design that starts at 99.95.

The concept between both units is pretty much the same with some differences….While the penguin is more on a more modern and high end style, the Genesis has a more simple design. The Penguin comes with glass bottles and the Genesis features a plastic bottle which is specially designed, high pressure-resistant. The SodaStream bottles are specifically made for use with their drink makers. Their long-life reusable bottles have a lifespan of 3 years. SodaStream bottles are BPA-free and do not use any polycarbonate materials or materials that produce phthalates or PCBs, ensuring an eco friendly drinks maker.

The Genesis is also a more compact design than the Penguin, great for small places with limited counter space and the design is really attractive also….The penguin looks more sophisticated, but they both do the same great job, so it all comes to what works best for you. I personally like both of them….As I said, it is a matter of what price tag is more accessible for you and what look you are going for.

The drink flavors are amazing and I can’t stay away from the fruit flavored ones especially the orange /mango, cranberry/raspberry, the diet lemon/lime, and diet pink grapefruit…..They even have an energy drink! The selection is wide and the possibilities are endless, so if this new year you want to change to a totally different soft drink….Take a look at the SodaStream catalog !

Nutrisystem.......Getting Back in Shape Week 24

You will probably remember the exciting news I shared with you all from the Nutrisystem new Success plan…..I was really excited to finally try some of the new products and receive the starter kit that came along with my first order of the new Success plan.

As part of the Nutrisystem blogger program I got to try some of the new products and be one of the first to see the new packaging design…. One of my very favorite additions to the Success plan is the protein shakes…..Oh yes, Nutrisystem added a delicious selection of  protein shakes to their food program! The shakes are offered in 3 different flavors. I have never liked anything other than chocolate shakes, so that is exactly the one flavor I got……Yum. The shakes come with a special shaker cup that facilitates to make your shake in a matter of seconds…. All you need is water, ice, the protein powder that comes in individual packs and your shaker for a creamy and delicious shake….Nutrisystem is all about convenience….Thank you guys!
I will keep you posted on the different additions as I try them, but for now let me tell you that the shakes are delicious and even better, they keep you full for a long time, so you are not tempted to break your diet….Speaking of which, I should say that by now I have lost a whopping 18 ½ pounds which leaves me at only 11 ½ pounds from my goal of losing 30 pounds total!

I must add that Nutrisystem is making this goal even easier to do with the new Success plan that includes a welcome kit with the tools to your success plan. Among the new tools included in the kit, you will find and this is a big favorite of mine, a pocket planner that you can use as an easy and quick reference to your meal plan.
There is also the Nutrisystem success daily planner in which you can add the meals you had each day, add the date and weight, daily activities and even the amount of water intake, so you are in absolute control of how you are doing with the program.

Last but not least is the Resource Guide that includes how to get started, goal settings, support, cuisine, continuing success and dining out. All of these are a very important part of a successful plan! Soo if you have been thinking about starting a healthy weight loss program, this is the time, join the new and improved Nutrisytem and be part of the Success Plan.

You all know I usually do not add pictures of me or my family to the site, but I think this one was a must….There is a picture of me right before I started the program a few months ago and a picture of me taken a few a couple of days ago….Do I need to say more? Born 2 Impress Holiday Gift Guide- Perplexus Original 3-D puzzle Review and Giveaway

We have a Plasma car and love it. It is a great and fun toy for kids and the ladybug and her nephews really enjoy ridding it, so I was really excited to learn that PlaSmart also has a line of products called Perplexus .

There has been a lot of buzz on the perplexus games and I was really looking forward to see and try the product myself. What is Perplexus Original design and what make this product stand out from others? PERPLEXUS is a maze game where players maneuver a small marble around challenging barriers inside a transparent sphere. Unlike traditional flat-surface mazes that are composed of one path, PERPLEXUS houses various challenging tracks with 100 barriers providing a frustrating three-dimensional experience. Players select the track they would like to attempt and must work with gravity to carefully shift, flip, and twist the sphere to guide the marble. Players can race each other or the clock.

It took me a minute to get the hang of the game, but after I did and started to play I realized there was a down side to this game….It can be really addictive! While the game can be played with one or more players and “race” to see who does better in the game, I only play solitaire…. I just don’t feel as if I’m good enough to compete yet. Maybe I’ll just practice and then wrap it up and show it as a gift to DH and then instantly be better at it than he is!

The design is really smart and engaging. It is easy at times and very difficult at others. There are multiple starting points so that you don't have to start at the #1 path and keep making the same mistakes over and over again, instead you have the option to start at any of the other paths and do a portion of the path.

Turning the maze while the little ball is precariously balanced takes practice and patience which is great for teaching kids about perseverance (please note that there is a small metal ball inside the game, that can become a choking hazard, the recommended age for the game is 6+).

The pathways are numbered to help you follow the correct path and order, while the numbers are a bit on the small side, so you might need to tip the toy in a direction you don't want to in order to see the numbers, but honestly most of the pathways are easy to follow without the numbers, and once you've followed a path, it's unlikely you'll forget the way, so you really only need to know the numbers once, so the numbers are not a deal breaker.

The game would make a great holiday present and better yet, a great thing to have when you have a group to entertain…adults included!You can find the game at different retailers including Amazon.....Did I mentioned that Perplexus Original has been nominated as Educational Toy of Year by the Toy Industry Association!

Born 2 Impress Holiday Gift Guide- Luminess Makeup Review and Giveaway.

I am sure that many of you are familiar with Luminees Air. Luminess Air was developed by leading makeup artists from the fashion, print, television and film industries along with leading cosmetic chemists and colorists. Their Luminess Air formulators and cosmetics designers have a minimum of 15 to 30 years of experience in the cosmetics industry and have run the research and development departments of some of the leading cosmetics brands in the country. Their formulations are rated amongst the best makeup in terms of quality, result and design.

Did you know they offer regular makeup also? Luminess has in their catalog a great selection of Cream Eye Shadows, Mineral Loose Pigments, lipstick, lip gloss…… you name it, they’ve got it. The best part is that as with their great air makeup they are easy to apply and just as important, they look great!
I was sent one cream eye shadow, one lipstick and one loose pigment to try.

Even though on a normal daily basis I usually did not wear makeup, that certainly changed when I started to work and I do wear makeup regularly now.

The first thing I need to say about the Luminess makeup, is that it is sold separately in small containers that makes carrying them around a breeze, so if for any reason you need to bring your makeup to work or anywhere else, you only need to carry a couple of small containers that fit anywhere.

The color selection is really wide and the products have the same good quality I was able to see in the air brush makeup.

There is a lot to choose from and great colors to meet your needs. I decided to try the Bronze Frost eye shadows which is an ultra-pigmented, velvety smooth, long-lasting waterproof cream eye shadow formula. This eye shadow goes on easily and lasts all day without creasing or smudging….. It is great for long working hours without the need to touch up or worry about your makeup. It is also very easy to apply which is a plus for me!

Sun Bronze. Highly pigmented mineral eye shadow that offers a natural to dramatic look in minutes depending on what you are looking for. I tend to keep my makeup simple so I just apply a very small amount to give the eyes a really nice glow. This lose pigments eye shadow can be beautifully used wet or dry; I have only used it dry.

The last but not least of the products I was able to try was the After Glow lip stick. I am usually more of a lip gloss fan, but I have to say I am really glad I found this lip stick and shade! The lip stick features a hydrating formula that helps to keep your lips looking young and revitalized, but what really sold this product for me, is that it looks amazing on and compliments many different makeup shades….Better yet it is great to mix with other colors! So I have worn it just by itself or with a different shade of lip gloss and I have had people ask me for both the brand and the shade. Needless to say, I love this lip stick!

Since all the pieces are sold separately, these would make a great stocking stuffer or great as a complete set for a really nice present!

Born 2 Impress Holiday Gift Guide- Squishable Review and Giveaway.

I found their site just a few weeks ago and I couldn’t help but to fall in love with the little guys….I was given the chance to choose one of the many different animals on their site ( I counted 46). You can find anything from a kitty cat, to a squirrel, a dragon, or even an octopus……All of them with one thing in commom, they are all really super cute!

I finally decided to pick the Squishable Panda and he is even more adorable and huggable in person! The Squishable Panda looks like an over fed panda as he is as round as a snow ball with black spots. The Squishable Panda is made with an extremely soft polyester fiber that makes you want to hug the little guy at all times. This product is made with great quality and attention to details.

I have to confess I am a pillow hugger……I cannot sleep if I do not have a pillow in bed with me, but this little panda makes a really nice substitute, and it is also really nice to just lay on top of him when you are watching TV……Very comfy. And even though the panda was meant for the ladybug, we do share it from time to time. We both love him and his squeezable and soft body.

This is a great and unique present for this holiday! The toys are meant for kids 3 and up. And has a retail price that goes from 38.00 to 44.00 depending on the design.

They have a range of toys that goes from children under 3 years old to 9 years and up and you can find anything from a monkey in a box to a camping tent and a tent is exactly the product I had the chance to review in this opportunity.

It is a fact that kids love to play with tents and the ladybug is no different! I received their camping tent which features a fun color combination of bright yet neutral colors that makes the tent suitable for both boys and girls.

What I like the most about the company, is that the toys on their catalog are meant to promote the kids imagination and pretend play to get them to play with toys that help their development and I am always up for that.

That is why I wanted to add their products to the Holiday Gift Guide. I have reviewed a few different products from their site and each time quality and attention to detail was present in their products. On this opportunity I bring you another great toy that is perfect for pretend play and imagination development. The wooden grocery cart and crate that are the accessories to the actual wooden market stand on their catalog (on sale right now). The set is just adorable and even if you do not have the complete market stand, this set would make an adorable and lots of fun toy. The lady bug loves shopping, so this a great toy not only because she likes it, but because it can help improve her motor , counting, color recognition and counting skills, just by adding a few veggies and fruits to the set.

Santa is actually going to bring her a kitchen set and this Cart and crate will be a great complement to the set. The cart needs to be put together and you will find quite a few screws are needed to complete the task, so you are better off doing it without any little helpers around you.

Putting the set together is fairly easy. Both the crate and the cart are made with the high quality material and attention to detail that I always expect and get from Magic cabin. The crate is about 6-3/4" x 4-3/4" and the cart 20" x 9" x 14". It also features four wheels and a handle for easy pushing and maneuverability.
