As you all know I recently started working and while before I mainly dressed with jeans and casual shirts, I now have to wear more formal clothing to go to work…..I also need to wear mostly black clothing as it is part of the company dress code…It is no secret that dressy clothing can be tricky to maintain and a real pain to iron, especially black clothes which right now is the majority of my wardrobe.

Looking for different options ( dry cleaners every week is not really in my budget), I came across HAAN USA. The HAAN Corporation is known for its wide range of popular steam cleaning machines and products that includes steam mops, handheld steamers, multi-purpose steamers and garment steamers. To be honest I thought a garment steamer might be the solution to my problems!

HAAN gave me the opportunity to try their Professional Sanitizing Garment Steamer. The unit is very easy to set up as all you need to is to attach a few elements together and you are ready to start steaming. The HAAN Professional Sanitizing Garment Steamer is a very light unit. Most of the pieces are made of plastic which explains the light weight and to make the steamer easier to move from room to room which is a great thing as this unit can also be used for refreshing fabrics throughout the home while removing wrinkles….The GS-30 model features a large-capacity, easy-fill water tank that provides you with about an hour of steam. Note that the tank does not screw into the unit. All you need to do is to fill the tank and place it in the spot destined for the tank.

One thing I absolutely love about the steamer is how quickly after you turn on the unit it can be used…I will have to say that it takes about 30 seconds to reach the reach the correct steaming temperature. The Professional Sanitizing Garment Steamer produces 212°F steam to kill dust mites, germs, bacteria and neutralize odor. The steam flows is continuous and without drips (make sure to follow the instructions in the manual to get optimal results).

The steamer features a Telescopic pole hanger that can reach up to 62" high for long garments and for taller users:). I have been using this unit with different types of fabrics. As I said, my clothes are mainly in black and I can’t begin to tell you what a great tool this steamer is proving to be. While you might not save a lot of ironing time, it definitely makes the process easier, not to mention that it is a lot better for your fabrics….I can’t stand shiny black clothes….You know that shine black clothes get from irons some times? That is one thing you are avoiding to get and honestly one of my biggest pet peeves!

I’ve had the Professional Sanitizing Garment Steamer for close to 3 weeks now and as I said, I have been using it with different fabrics, plus the unit come with a series of attachments to facilitate the work……Creases will take some practice….I am not quite there yet, but I have to say that I love that the wrinkles disappear in a matter of seconds. This product is just great for difficult to Iron or delicate clothing. The steamer has certainly exceeded my expectations and I couldn’t be happier with the results I am getting from it so far!
