Fairy Tales Hair Care for Kids- Review and Giveaway.

I am sure I have mentioned on numerous occasions that my little lady has curly hair and how difficult it can be at times to try to manage her hair, so I am always looking for products that are kid friendly and that will allow me to keep her hair looking good and healthy and keep it under control! A few weeks ago I was offered the opportunity to try some of the Curly Q line of hair products from the Fairy Tales Hair Care.

If you are not familiar with this great line of kid’s hair products, let me be the first to introduce you to the company and their amazing selection of hair products for kids. Fairy Tales Hair Care was created over 20 years ago in the Fairy Tales Salon in Hewlett, NY. For years, parents would ask the stylists what were these products that made their children’s hair so soft and manageable. But their stylists just smiled and said it was their secret recipe! The Fairy Tales Hair Care line was launched nationally in 1999 with great success! Within one week of their launch, Rosie O’ Donnell was showing off her bottle of Rosemary Repel Shampoo on her talk show. They were a hit! Parents and kids alike love these natural products loaded with organic herbs to cleanse, condition, style, and most importantly, help repel hair lice.

Among the different lines of products offered by the company you will find the Curly Q and that is exactly what I am going to talk to you about today.

We love the little bug’s curly hair, so we do not want her hair to be straight. We want to be able to help her curls to get a natural healthy look, so I was sent the Curly Q Shampoo which is a very light weight shampoo that goes a long ways with a little amount of the product. In addition, the shampoo helps her natural curls to top up and keep her hair shiny looking really healthy! The shampoo is made with natural ingredients like Jojoba , Aloe, and vitamin E to clean the hair and is infused with fruit extracts to achieve the curls definition . The shampoo is very lightly scented ( which I always prefer for the kids), and it comes in a 12 FL. ( 354 ml) bottle, and retails for 12.95….We have been using this great product for at least 3-4 weeks and the bottle is still pretty much full, so this will really last you a long time. Great product at a great value!

I also received the Detangling Conditioner which is the second step to this 3 steps to healthy curly hair process for my little bug.

The Detangling conditioner can be used daily, which is a great thing if you consider that my bug will get her hair wet every single time she is in the shower! The Detangling Conditioner is also very lightly scented and like the Curly Q shampoo, the scents are really pleasant. The product does a great job when it comes to condition and moisturize, and it is made with natural ingredients such as extract of Aloe Vera, Cherry Bark and Chamomile leaves…The scent you will get is this cherry scent….Really nice and fresh. The best part is that I can brush/comb the wet bug’s hair with no problem at all and it also gives her hair a silky feeling. The conditioner also comes in a 12 FL. ( 354 ml) bottle, and retails for 8.95. This product also goes a long ways, so I only need to use a small amount of it in order to get the results I need.

Last but not least is the Curly- Q Natural Curl Maker. This is the miracle worker that makes my little bug’s curls as cute as can be! As with the other two products, the Curl Maker is very lightly scented. The clear gel in the bottle is a non- sticky pliable gel that is enhanced with Shea butter, and Sweet Almond Oil for a soft, shiny and frizz free hair for kids of all ages. I can only say that I LOVE the complete line and most of all, the entire curl maker. The gel can be used as the final step in the 3 steps process or with dry hair to texturize.

The Curl maker retails for 9.95 for the 8 oz. bottle and as with the rest of the products in this review the gel goes a long ways ….I only use a small amount and works wonderfully. These are the kind of products that I order before I run out!
