As I have mentioned time and time again, DH is highly allergic to….Well a lot of things and one of the biggest issues, his allergies to dust and of course dust mites…….On the other hand I have the ladybug, that even though she is potty trained, she still have her accidents every now and then…As You could imagine I am not really happy to have her have an accident when she sleeps with us as I really dislike the smell that gets attached to the mattress and the dark spots are not really nice either.

For these main reasons, a good quality mattress protector is a must in my bedroom. I have recently had the chance to try and review the Total Encasement Mattress Protector from Mattress Giant….I have worked with this company on a couple of other occasions and have really liked their products, so I am always excited to try any new items from their catalog and with our allergies and bed wetting issues this was a very welcomed review!

The Omniguard® Advance Total Encasement Mattress Protector is a as you can tell from the name a total encasement protector which means that the whole mattress is inside it…It has a zipper closure to accomplish this. The Omniguard shields against bedbugs, dust mites, allergens and moisture, and features a limited lifetime warranty, so it pretty much cover all the points I was looking for.

The first thing I noticed is how soft the material used for the protector really is in the outside. It features a stretch fabric that facilitates the positioning on the mattress. One other thing I really appreciate about this product, is the fact that it doesn’t alter the comfort in my mattress which is a big plus….The protector fabric is thin and light weight, really nice to the touch! The Omniguard is available in all sizes with prices starting from 129.99 to 199.99 and it is also available in 2 thicknesses:
