Truth is that they offer a great selection of products especially in the home phones area. As I have mentioned before, I just switched jobs and will be working as a sales representative for a Voice Over IP ( VOIP ) phone company and as part of my new job, I expect to receive phone calls quite often….I have the office number forwarded to my home office for those times I need to work from home. For that reason I need a good telephone to use while I am working from home….I also wanted it to be a cordless phone as I will probably be moving around and multitasking! I was given the opportunity to try 3 Handset Connect to Cell™ Cordless Answering System with Caller ID/Call Waiting.

 The phones are available in different handsets configuration and while mine has a total of three handsets, the same set is available with up to 12 handsets with only one phone Jack and some of the sets even include a headset. The phone design is really clean and modern, a really nice looking phone, but while looks is important, it is the performance that matters the most …..The 3 Handset DECT 6.0 Expandable Cordless Phone with Connect to Cell™, Answering System, Push-To-Talk & HD Audio has a complete set of features that makes this phone a great addition to my home office. The more I learned and used the phone the more I liked it.

 There are many great features included on this phone system and one of my favorites is for sure the phone’s capability to pair with your cell phone so you can download your contacts from your cell phone to your house phone. VTech has a complete list of compatible phones….This feature allows you to easily transfer up to 200 contacts from a total of 2 different cell phones on to your home phone.

 I have to say that I have never had the contact list in my cell phone copied on to my house phone, simply because it is a tedious and long task, but with this feature it is as easy as can be and I have to admit I love having my contact list on both phones, so I do not have to go and get my cell phone if I need to make a phone call from home! The VTech phone system is Hearing Aid Compatible, and energy Star Compliant.

 One thing I love about VTech is that they support RoHS initiatives by reducing the use of hazardous substances including lead, mercury and cadmium. One of the biggest selling points on this phone, is the Connect to CELL™ feature that allows you to pair four different cell phones (or headsets) and have two devices actively connected. Cellular calls can be made or received from either of the two active cell phones via your house phone. To make this feature even better, a landline service is not required…..Awesome for cellular only households.

Each time you have an incoming call a Voice Announce Caller ID clearly states the name and number of the caller on all of the handsets and base unit…..I have this feature on my cell phone and love it…You do not need to find the handset to see who is calling and by the same token you know if you want to answer the phone without even having to reach for the phone LOVE this feature!

The Push-To-Talk acts as a multiple handset walkie talkie system to instantly connect with any or all of the handsets within the system (the button is located on the side of the phone). It also has a digital answering system with 14 minutes of recording time without the need of tapes or other accessories of the kind.

The trilingual prompts allow you to choose between English, Spanish or French. The phone provides you with clear conversations and it doesn’t interfere with wireless networks and other wireless devices in the house and with the touch of a button, the handset speakerphones makes hands-free conversations a breeze.

The phone also features adjustable ringer volume from low to high; you also have the option to turn the ringer off and handset volume control. Another feature that I found very handy is the backlit keypad and display allowing for easier viewing in dim light. The phone also has caller ID/Call waiting that stores up to 50 calls.

The voicemail waiting indicator show a text message on the handset to alert you when you have messages waiting on the voicemail service provided by your phone company….The more I play with the phones, the more I like it and one more feature I can’t help but love, is the blue tooth capability which allows me to use a headset around the house, so I can have both of my hands free and yes, multi task!
