Born 2 Impress Summer Must Have Products- K-NEX Review and Giveaway

Have you heard about a company named K-NEX? I would love to introduce to this great company if you haven’t and maybe give you a little more information about them if you already know who they are. K-NEX offers you an awesome array of block designs for kids ages 2 and up! The ladybug always loved blocks and that is a love that hasn’t died but instead has grown as she gets older, and I have to admit that I really like the fact that she does…. I really believe that blocks are a great way to help the little one to develop different skills like imagination, pretend play and construction of different figures.

 I had the chance to try some Knex sets before; some of the sets they sent me were for the ladybug and the rest for my 10 year old nephew. For the smaller kids they have an awesome selection of Sesame Street characters that are perfect for younger kids (ages 2+). I have one word for the K-NEX Sesame Street character’s blocks: Adorable and if you allow me I will include the adjective awesome too!

The different characters are just too cute and the very best part is that they are actually very easy to put together! In this opportunity as the bug is a little older now, they sent me the Lincoln Logs Fort Hudson set. The Fort Hudson set includes real wood logs plus colorful accessories and play figures to make the set even more fun.

 If I liked the previous set from K-nex I love this one set! My husband even told me that he played with Lincoln logs when he was a kid and he loved them then as well. The logs and accessories are made to fit together, allowing kids to build any kind of structure they can imagine. The set comes is a sturdy cylinder great for storing the set when not in use.

The recommended age for this set is 3+ as it contains small pieces that could pose as a choking hazard. The  Fort  Hudson set is one of the many different sets on this line offered by K-nex. The Fort Hudson set comes with 70 pieces and retails for 25.99. Knex also offers a series of SUPER VALUE TUB sets that goes from 325 pieces to 521 pieces.

I was sent the 521 SUPER VALUE TUB for this review which is recommended for ages 7+ as this set has a lot small pieces that can be a choking hazard for younger kids. As with the previous Knex set, this is a really fun way to promote construction skills and since K-nex has ideas for over 35 unique models including dragsters, ferris wheels, dinosaurs, creatures and unlimited self-design possibilities ….The sky is the limit.

 The colorful pieces make this set really attractive and constitute a really nice challenge for the kids to achieve. The set retails for 24.99 and comes in a very convenient storage tub.
