As more people become conscious as to how much we need to protect and take care of the environment, more and more people try to help a little and do their part by recycling and I was nicely surprised when one day my 5 year old came home and told me she wanted to start recycling….Yes they are teaching her about it in Pre-K, which if you ask me is awesome.
I wanted to motivate her and keep her on the right path of the recycling road and wanted to get her an eco-friendly lunch box…..You would be amazed to know that a typical American child generates 67 pounds of lunch packaging waste each school year….That is a lot of waste going into our landfills!
While trying to find a better lunch box option for my little one, I found the Go Green Lunch Box website and loved what I saw. The lunch box features a box set that comes with an insulated fabric carrier, a five-compartment food container, and a bottle that will hold eight ounces of water or your child’s favorite drink – all leach- and lead-free. This is a must in my book!
The lunch has four different compartments, two bigger ones and two smaller ones, plus a section for the water bottle which allows you to pack a really nice lunch and keep all the different foods separated….Honestly this lunch box is really nice even for a grown up that would rather take lunch to work…..It is also nice to have if your kids are going on a play date and they are following a special diet or have some kind of food allergies and you want to make sure he or she doesn’t get the wrong type of food.
The lunch box uses a snap on system and a turn and lock technology to keep the food fresh and ties on the back to keep the top and bottom together. On the top of the carrying case you will see a small white board that allows you to write a little message to your little one and even the teacher if needed (a really nice feature if you ask me).
On the top side of the bag, you will also find a small mesh pocket where you can put utensils, napkins, or you name it……. The lunch box is very convenient, made with high quality materials and really fashionable…The Go Green Lunch Box is available in different designs. I received the Prepster which is a cute plaid design. The lunch boxes have a retail price of 32.99
