Summer is in full bloom now and I am making sure I have everything required for the season. As a parent I have to take as much care of my little one for the sunny times and outdoors activities as I can. I want to make certain that while enjoying the sun, my ladybug is safe and able to enjoy as much as possible while being protected.
I also know that your eyes are very delicate and need as much protection as your skin does. We spend a lot of time outdoors and this summer we have the family trip which is filled with all kinds of outdoors activities, so I started looking for sunglasses for the ladybug and found a really cute kid’s sunglasses stores that has a great selection on sunglasses for the younger members of the family.
Real Kids Shades are On a Mission. Since 2002, they’ve made it their mission to protect as many children’s eyes as possible from the damaging effects of UV radiation. They launched Real Kids Shades when they couldn’t find an inexpensive pair of real protective sunglasses for their own kids. The idea was simple. Offer affordable, real sunglasses designed just for kids.
Then to manufacture them with the best materials available and ensure they block 100% of the sun’s harmful rays. I received two different sunglasses for this review. The first pair of glasses were the flex design in pink which I have to say are really adorable as they look like an adult retro style pair of sunglasses.
The Flex design features rubberized frames that makes them bendable, so kids can’t snap them in two….. This is a great feature as I can’t tell you how many glasses the ladybug has gone through when she was a bit younger and you can add some of my own glasses to her list of casualties….The little ones for some reason like snapping them!
The lenses on the Flex are shatter proof, and 100% UVA/ UVB for great protection. The sunglasses come in a Re-usable Pouch to keep your glasses in and they come with a matching removable neoprene strap. The glasses come in a variety of colors, are lightweight and comfortable making them a delight for the little wearer.
These glasses are one of the ladybug’s favorites for sure. The flex is available for kids (boys and girls ) ages 3-7 and have a retail price of only 14.99. The second pair of glasses I had the chance to review was the Flex Duo.
This has a more modern look and comes in two different color designs that are fun and great for the summer. The Flex Duo provides kids ages 3-7 with 100% UVA/UVB sun protection. The Flex Duo features a wrap-around design to protect against peripheral sunlight. The Flex Duo are also light and comfortable, so kids will have no problem wearing them.
The glasses also feature flexible frame and temples which makes them kid friendly. These pair of glasses comes with a removable neoprene strap to keep the glasses in places and prevents them from getting lost. The Flex Duo retails for 14.99 Both designs do a great job and both are very cute in their own style, so either way you go, you are getting a nice and real pair of shades for your kids.
