Born 2 Impress- Summer Must Have Products - Motorola Universal In Car Bluetooth Speaker Phone the Roadster 2 Review and Giveaway

About a year ago I did a review for Motorola and its ROADSTER Bluetooth Car Kit. We own a few different Motorola products including one of their latest Bluetooth headsets. The Motorola ELITE SLIVER Bluetooth® Headset features HD Audio Plus which provides great clarity and richer sound thanks to true wideband audio and CrystalTalk™ dual-mic technology…Probably my favorite Bluetooth headset ever.

Just this past January, Motorola released the Motorola ROADSTER™ 2 and after my experience with the Roadster, I was really interested in trying the new and improved device that features some really neat improvements including a car finder application for android smart phones….This is certainly one of my favorites features…I can’t say how many times I forgot where I parked my car. Well this application gives you the option to get the location of your car via GPS, add a voice note and even take a picture of the location of your car!

 The GPS portion might not come up if you are inside of a parking garage due to the GPS signal not being able to get through, but you can always take the picture of the parking spot and the note to keep track of the location.

 One of the great features on the Roadster 2 is the My MotoSpeak™ application which is a hands-free texting solution with text-to-speech and speech-to-text technology are supported by android ( not available on all smart phones). To use the application, just press the smart button on your ROADSTER 2 to initiate a text message or to hear incoming text messages and then dictate your reply…..This is an awesome application when you are on the road and need to keep your attention on driving and it is also such a great way to avoid accidents as you can reply to a text without taking your eyes off the road!

 I would bet that most states will make these type of hands free texting items mandatory in the near future, so why not get prepared today. The Roadster 2 also features a dual-microphone technology for greater noise cancellation. The loud, 2-watt speaker works to combat cabin noise and wind…The speakers are really loud…I have to actually take the volume down while using it to get a crystal clear reception, so this unit would be a great help for people with hearing problems …. You can actually have a conversation without shouting….Just keep your normal tone of voice throughout the conversation.

Voice prompts will let you know when the unit is connected, how good or bad is your battery label. The ROADSTER 2 automatically turns on when you get in the car and off when you leave (I am used to turning it off manually, but the unit does it by itself) and the smartly-placed buttons provide easy access to the most-used functions. …just a great feature.

The Roadster 2 only comes with the car charger, but any Motorola or even android phone electric outlet charger should work with you Roadster 2. Voice prompts will let you know when the unit is connected, how good or bad is your battery label.

 The ROADSTER 2 automatically turns on when you get in the car and off when you leave and the smartly-placed buttons provide easy access to the most-used functions. ….Just a great feature. The Roadster 2 is very user friendly and has all the buttons (except for the on/ off button) on the front of the unit. One thing I do not want to fail to mention is the sleek, compact, lightweight design that unlike the first Roadster this one comes in silver. (the original Roadster is black).

You can listen to the music on your phone through your Roadster 2 and can connect up to two phones. The retail price for the Roadster 2 is 99.00 and it is a must have for everyday use and long road trips!
