TOMY is a leading global designer, producer and marketer of a broad range of innovative, high-quality toys that kids and parents love, including: Chuggington™, Jim Henson’s Dinosaur Train™, John Deere Preschool, Lamaze®, Thomas & Friends™, and Tomica®….A few weeks ago I was presented with the opportunity to review some of the toys from the Lamaze line and since I am always open to new good quality toys for kids of all ages, I immediately said yes.
I was sent 3 different products for this review, and all of them with the same cute factor as a common denominator. Octivity Time which features a large, welcoming eyes octopus invites babies to focus on a single object, supporting healthy eye development. The adorable octopus also features a squeaky head, crinkly legs, and spinning starfish to stimulate auditory awareness…I have always liked toys with different textures and colors and this little guy certainly has those elements!
The Octivity time toy has eight soft legs that invite little ones to encourage pull, squeeze, and hug. This is great for the babies to help strengthen their muscles ….The clinking rings and a spinning starfish support the baby’s pincer grip development. It is a great developmental toy that is going to keep your little one entertained while learning about some of her motor skills. The Octivity Time toy has a retail price of 22.99
Stretch the Giraffe is another cute developmental toy from Lamaze. Stretch features an orange body while each one of its legs are different colors and textures. At its feet, the giraffe has a multi-colored selection of ribbons that reminds me of little tags…..I have not met a baby that does not love tags!
The giraffe also features clacking rings, squeaker, crinkle, bungee legs, and a tiny knot tail. The toy can be easily attached to play mats, diaper bags, and strollers for the on-the-go parent, which makes this little toy very portable while preventing it from falling (I have always had a big pet peeve about toys that will end up in my baby’s mouth then falling in random places). The retail price is 14.99.
The last of the products I received from Lamaze was the Hulu Girl Travel Toy. This is probably one of my favorites. The little hula dancer features bright colored ribbons in different colors, (same tag like effect I mentioned before). It features different textures and colors to help little ones to develop the sense of touch and sight.
The hula girl's dancing doll encourages baby to reach and grab, strengthening hand-eye coordination. The toy is easily attached to most stroller and carrier bars. Great for car rides and while strolling around with your little bundle.
As with the other two toys from Lamaze, the hula girl toy has different colors and textures that invites baby to hold and touch. A great selection of toys and the last two are a great addition to any travel plan with babies.
