As I have mentioned time and time again for the last few weeks, I am planning a lot of activities and fun games for my daughter this summer and all of them with one thing in common. I want these activities no matter what they are to be fun and educational!
One of those fun little projects we have is the Sprout House from Smart Lab Toys. The 10-piece self-watering greenhouse is not only a fun project that is perfect for the summer vacation, but is also great for limited space homes like my condo.
The set features a kit with all you will need in order to grow three different types of plants that includes a sun flower, a plant that reacts to the touch (I loved those when I was little) and a surprise plant that you will have to wait for it to grow before you discover what it is.
The set is really easy to put together and it comes with stickers of ladybugs, butterflies, and flowers that add color and life to your micro garden from day one. The set includes stickers with the names of the different plants you grow so you can identify which seed is planted where (you will need tooth picks).
One other thing you will need is a bit of dirt for your 3 pots….The set is really a great thing to do with the kids this summer or any time and your little ones will love to see the product of their work. Just to see the plants grow…I can tell you this has been one of my daughter’s favorite projects and since it takes hardly any space at all it is a great way to teach them something and not have to worry about the space “the garden” is going to take! The sprout house has a retail price of 14.99 and it is one of the many products you can find in the Smart Lab Toys Website.
