I am going to let you in on a little secret…..I am a music junky. Yes, I admit I can’t live without music and definitely can’t do house chores or exercise without pumping loud music. Now by living in a condo it is not like I can listen to music as loud as I would like to, so I made it my goal to find the best earphones I can for listening to music while I am at home or working out without getting the Home Owner’s Association knocking on my door.
I have an iPod shuffle which I love for its small convenient size….The one thing that does not work for me is the earphones that come with it as they constantly fall out of my ears….Very annoying! thinksound was founded by Aaron Fournier and Mike Tunney, who met while working at Tivoli Audio over a decade ago. After spending their formative years working alongside industry legends Cary Christie (Infinity/Artison) and Tom DeVesto (Tivoli Audio/Cambridge Soundworks); they decided the time was right to strike out on their own.
As a result they have created a series of headsets that are made of wood and more importantly, they deliver a high quality sound and performance. They offer a few different designs in different color combinations, for this review I was sent the ts01 : black chocolate headphones.
The ts01 have a really elegant wooden design that looks unlike any other headphones I have come across, but the looks are not the only thing to love about these headphones. The thinksound headphones deliver an outstanding quality sound and very precise music reproduction that is just very crisp no matter how loud you are playing your music the sounds stays clear and with no distortions! Over all these headphones are outstanding.
The headphones come with four sized flexible silicon ear inserts for a secure fit (s/m/l/xl) which is great for me as I just found out that I needed the smallest size available….They stay in my ears through my workout and even house chores! The headphones work with iPhone®, iPod®, Android® phones, MP3, CD, DVD, and many other devices.
The headphones feature an ultra-lightweight design with PVC-free, tangle-resistant cable that has a little clip to help keep the cable from tangling up. The wooden housing makes the crisp, accurate music reproduction possible and one thing I love about these headphones is that they do a great job blocking any external noises, so music is all you will hear.
The suggested retail price on these headphones is 74.99 and you can purchase them for 64.99 at the Thinksound store. They are also available at different retailers across the country!
