The Fagor brand is currently present in 100 countries, employs more than 12,000 people in 17 countries and operates 16 factories in 3 continents…..I was actually in Spain when I first learned about the brand and was really excited to add a review from this brand of products to the Everything Home Event this year. I was given the opportunity to try the Fagor CAST ALUMINUM COOKWARE 7 PIECE Set.

The set is made of durable cast aluminum with a really attractive design that is easy to clean thanks to the superior quality of the two inner layers nonstick coating. The nonstick coating is scratch resistant (note it is scratch resistant not scratch prove it will scratch if not used properly), and ensures durability: no peeling, blistering or cracking. …I must add that even though the set is made of high quality materials, I treat it same way I treat my delicate cookware and do not abuse them and try not pile them up in the sink.

The feature I like the most is the fact that this set is energy efficiency utilizing induction cooking technology that provides a quick and even heat distribution that guarantees lower energy consumption and faster cooking.

Thanks to these same features, it is great for cooking healthy meals because of the very little or no oil used when cooking with this set….We try cooking as healthy as possible at home and this set is definitely a great addition to my cookware. I especially like the 8.5" Grill Pan with Stainless Steel handle which is perfect for grilling small and single portions….As you know I am trying to lose weight and very often I have to cook things just for myself, so this grill pan is great for those occasions.

Among the features that I like the most on the Fagor CAST ALUMINUM COOKWARE 7 PIECE set is that the handles detach to improve storage space, which is fantastic for kitchens and places with limited storage space (removing the handles is really easy once you find out how to do it…... hold the handle with one hand and twist the black end tip of the handle with the other hand counterclockwise).

To make the set even more versatile, the lids are oven safe! And this I have tried myself, I placed one of the lids inside the oven at 350 degrees for about 15 minutes, just to test it and had no problems at all.
