Born 2 Impress Everything Home Event- HAAN Total HD60 Steam Mop Review and Giveaway

The HAAN Corporation is known for its wide range of popular steam cleaning machines and products that includes steam mops, handheld steamers, multi-purpose steamers and garment steamers. As part of the Everything Home Event HAAN USA gave me the opportunity to try the HAAN Total. It will Steam, Sweep, Sanitize all with One Step Cleaning.

As I have mentioned time and time again, I live in a condo and space is limited, so I am always looking for multi-functional products that can do different tasks but take as little space as possible. The HAAN Total has a Sweeper like design that is compact and light weight.

The unit is really simple to set up…There are just three handle pieces that you need to place and they snap right on, so you can have your HAAN Total Steam Sweeper out of the box and ready in less than one minute. The HAAN Total features a small water tank that is made of clear plastic so you can see the contents and it attaches to the back of the unit. Included with the HAAN Total, you will find 2 reusable ultra-micro-fiber cleaning pads, a carpet glide attachment, floor protector/resting pad (they recommend you place your unit on this pad whenever it is not in use), twelve individually packed lime and scale remover and of course the user’s manual and warranty car.

The multi- functional unit allows sweeping, steaming, and sanitizing in one easy step. The unit was designed with a low-profile swivel head to easily fit under furniture and glide around cabinets and other obstacles.

Steam and sweep together or separately depending on your needs which makes this unit very versatile and convenient. If you have been reading this blog, then you will probably know that my place is fully carpeted excepting the bathrooms and the kitchen, and with a very active 5 years old, I need to be on top of the carpets and floor as often as possible.

The steam mop has a motorized brush roll that picks up debris from solid surfaces and carpet. To steam, fill the water tank at the sink and it's ready to clean in about 20 seconds…Now please note that this is not a vacuum, so do not expect to get the suction you will get from a vacuum cleaner. The HAAN Total has a motorized brush roll to help you get rid of small messes; the versatile unit also features an easy to empty dust bin that is located on the front/ bottom of the unit, right above of cleaning tray and it is really easy to take out and put back in.

The low profile swivel head makes it easier to get in low spaces and under furniture. The unit actually glides pretty easy in both carpet and tile I need to say that I am quite impressed with this unit and for how good it does picking things off the carpet for not being a vacuum. You can use the brush roll and the steamer together or separately depending on your needs.

 The unit is also a lot more quiet than a vacuum cleaner and it really does a phenomenal job…after using it on tiles it just take a few seconds for the floors to be dry….As a test, I dumped a handful of non-cooked rice and the HAAN Total was able to pick it all up with no problem at all ( will repeat this test and record it so you all can see it).

 One of the things I like the most about this unit is not only how easy it is to use, or even the fact that it does not take hardly any space to store, but the fact that you can sanitize your floors without using any chemicals…Just plain old tap water and that is definitely a big plus in my book. When using the HAAN Total on carpet, you need to put on the carpet attachment…Very easy to do…It just snaps on.

 To use it on tile, simply take off this attachment and add one of the pads included with the unit that is even easier to attach…It has Velcro to do so and no, it does not comes off while cleaning. These pads are actually made with high quality materials, so I expect them to last for a good amount of time. You can purchase more pads for 19.99 for a two-pack or 34.00 for a 4 pack.

For larger areas they recommend you change the pads every 10- 15 minutes or when the pads get saturated and makes pushing the unit difficult…The pads can be machine washed using a gentle cycle with no detergents and dried in the lowest cycle. This unit was certainly designed with versatility and comfort in mind.
